NDP cheerleading is ,indeed, one of the most memorable events in my college life. The uncertainties and relunctance upon knowing that we are actually doing a performance and not the role of a motivator is definitely a shock to all of us. Many whom have signed up withdrew and practices began with only a handful- it certainly isn't an easy feat. Yet, somehow or rather, my friends and I persisted, we stayed with the team, we went through the harsh practices and spent our precious time playing a part in the nation's event. Undoubtedly, it is this sense of belonging and the love for the nation that has kept us going.

The involvement in NDP has taught us many things beyond our textbooks- our strengths and weaknesses, values. A performance would not have been made possible without teamwork, punctuality, responsibilities and the encouragement from all the team mates. :) The love, concern and patience that our teachers and instructors have showered us are very much appreciated too. It is all these little things that have made NDP 2008 such a memorable one.
Much as insignificant as I am among the hundreds of cheerleaders, I would never forget the contentment and satisfaction of being able to perform before the eyes of thousands Singaporeans. It is this sense of pride that kept our heads up high and our smiles confident.
